  1. 1st day of the month bump...
  2. Selling my devolo Magic 2 WiFi powerline adapters. No longer required having initially been purchased in May 2020 for working from home. Purchased from Curry’s PC World for £269.99 and even on Cyber Monday these are still listed for £269.99 on their website and Amazon. The ultimate powerline adapters they create a mesh of one network within your home which allows you to move between rooms without losing connection. As new condition and looking for £200 including insured delivery. Listed for sale elsewhere.
  3. The joys of having a large loft 😃
  4. Thanks @bencat Photos uploaded. Location is in personal info and stated - collection from Guildford area.
  5. Following the purchase on a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 my Squeezebox Touch is now surplus to requirements. Purchased new from Curry’s PC World it has been used in smoke and pet free home. Excellent condition and still has the protective film on. The unit has had little use over the years until lockdown which increased my music listening. Original box, remote, packaging and instructions. I have this device listed elsewhere. Looking for £125.00 including insured delivery or welcome to collect from Guildford area.
  6. Following the purchase of a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 my Rega DAC is now surplus to requirements. This 5 Star rated DAC was purchased new from PJ HiFi in Guildford it has been used in smoke and pet free home. Excellent condition (save for a small mark on one side) and still has the protective film on the fascia. The unit has had little use over the years until lockdown which increased my music listening. Original box, packaging and instructions. I have this device listed elsewhere. Looking for £295.00 including insured delivery or welcome to collect from Guildford area.
  7. I was very surprised and presumed for my main listening I would need bigger floorstanding speakers to improve on my CM8’s but in-walls and a pair of subs blew them away. That is true but they are used in recording and film production studios, so come from good pedigree. You are not a million miles from where I demoed them if you want to check a couple of options out. I am looking to build a home cinema room soon and if I can get speakers that fit well for both movies and music I will be very happy. It certainly made a difference and they way the Lyngdorf integrated the subs for music was exceptional and very straight forward via RoomPerfect.
  8. So I demoed a couple of the Lyngdorf TDAI integrated amps today courtesy of Rob Sinden @ Gecko Home Cinema. Rob was a fantastic host who seemed just happy to chat, play music and talk about the hardware. I took my CM8’s over with me and was very impressed by the RoomPerfect technology which noticeably tightened up the bass and mid-range which could also be further tweaked to take off the slightly bright edge my speakers have. Then moved onto a very interesting demo of M&K in-wall speakers and a sub with the Lyngdorf for 2.1 listening and the sound was fantastic, so that threw a spanner in the works of upgrading my CM8’s in the next 6-9 months for ‘better’ floorstanders. Having that level of stereo sound coming out of a couple of grilles in a wall plus the way it seamlessly integrated with the sub might be the way forwards...?!? Decisions, decisions. After the HiFi demo was over and the CM8’s packed up and back in the car we wandered over to his home cinema and high-end HiFi demo area. That’s a post for another time but I shall just say wow.
  9. That list has been my starting point, so I must be looking in the right places.
  10. I initially thought around the £2,000 mark but now my mind seems to be turning to amps that retail even higher (funny how that happens). That being said I loved the sound of the Rega Elicit and that retails at around £1,600. I am seriously considering secondhand for a higher end amp and if I do not get on with it at home then moving it on should not lose me too much. But this thread has enforced the idea of trying as many as possible before settling on a final choice.
  11. Newbie saying hello... Not really been on this forum enough to be considered a lurker. Are there levels of lurking?
