I am sure I am not the only one who does what I do. I stream but only in MP3; can't tell the difference between MP3 and "hi res" So I send a monthly donation to a music college; the donation is twice my streaming fee. I feel that there is more chance of money getting to artists my way, until streaming is "fixed"! Of course looking forward to getting back to live concerts.
For the last 5 years my streamer has been my phone/tablet into Chromecast Audio; BBC streaming has never been a problem. I see that BBC research produced this:- https://downloads.bbc.co.uk/rd/pubs/whp/whp-pdf-files/WHP384.pdf May explain why I never felt the need to download my Qobuz choices, also streamed by same setup, at more than mp3.
