  10. Great chef, meet him a couple of times. a number of my Chef friends worked with the Roux either at The Waterside or Le Gavoroche I think it's fair to say the Roux brothers started seroius food in Britain when the opended Le Gavorche and when Michel moved to The Waterside in Bray another superb restaurant was born lets hope the waterside will come out of the Covid issues and continue under Alan
  11. morning I have just joined this group been an LP12 owner since 2001 - always wanted to own an LP12 I use Peter Swain @Cymbiosis and have done since the start my current deck has been upgraded over the years, I am now in a very happy place with it and the music just comes through current spec is Karsouel, Kore, Ekos SE, Urika, Tiger paw Khan, DVxx2 Chord shawline into Radikal used in the past - Hercules, Naim Stageline, Naim Pre into HCDR, Ittock VII arm, Cirkus, Lingo 4 now pretty much finished will need to look at keel in due course
  12. Thanks for all the replies - my first post on this forum, so bare with me still trying to get used to the way things work around here So in reply to a number of comments on above, I have been an owner of NAIM equipment for around 20 years, NAIM from the start in the mid 1970's have always believed in seperating out delecate source from the power - and from the start on Cd's, Pre AMP, AMP's DAC's you can see this - weather you agree with this or not thats the way if is the Link plug's are fitted so the equipment can be used naked, or when removed and a seperate PSU is fitted - in the NDX case this is either with XPSSR or 55 PSU - the older Oliver PSU do not work with either NDX or NDX2 - Chord have basicaly redesigned and made the standard link plug but better hence the improvement in sound using 3rd party external leads, burndy cables, speaker cables I believe does not invalidate the NAIM warrentee anyway my NDX is from 201, and moreover nternal 3rd party does and something I have neverdone in my years of ownership, not sure how NAIM could tell you were using the Bridge and moreover Chord would not make this if it did do this My post was there to inform, and create debate - which it did - as ever some comments more tongue in cheak than others ALL I wanted to do is past on my experience on what I found to be a stunning addtion to my source and he musical uplift it brought - because thats all I want to try and achieve is more music from my system
  13. When you take into contest a new XPSDR is £4,000 and 555 PSU is all but £ 7,000 £500 for a real musical uplift personally I think is a prettty good value even though is a link plug
  14. £500, my review was not written to be informal but copied from my post to my dealer, as new member still learning the ropes
  15. £500 yes but take that into context vs a Naim PSU either XPSDR or 555
