  1. Hi, and thanks. I’ll look at the 7s. I also need some AV receiver options. I think the Denon 4700 seems to be suitable but maybe one of the Anthems too.
  2. Hi guys, as I continue my SCM40a journey, I’m considering making them part of a 5.1 system for the fact that the Mrs wants it! I still want the musical side of life but I could use help… 1) which ATCs ( low cost) would suit as rear surrounds? 2) which receiver? Denon 4700? Anthem? Other? im guessing that I need a Pre out for the actives at the front and then the rest is standard receiver stuff. Or is it? id appreciate your advice.
  3. Hello gents, sorry it’s been a while but I’ve had a lot going on! So here goes my update; I have not listened to enough music but TV through these is well served. The zenith has lost it’s signal through my home plugs and I’m not able to enjoy it or music until this is rectified. I’ve asked an electrician to place Cat 6a cable from router to the zenith and hope this will sort it. As a means of hearing music, I really don’t like the kerfuffle of using zenith because it isn’t intuitive to me. I’d rather press play on my music app and hear it on my speakers; done! I still think I will need to upgrade my TT to get a rise in treble and also fill out the soundstage. I’m not in a position to buy right now but will leave it a while to allow me to use the Zenith further. hipe you’re all well.
  4. Hi and sorry I’ve been away from the site for some time. Thank you immensely for your very kind offer. I did manage to get it going myself and it’s working fine. These are early days and I haven’t used the disk burning to load it up. I’m using Qobuz through it and trying to get the sound into my head. I am lacking a soundstage and I need to work out what to try.
  5. Yes Griff500, I have heard it mentioned but haven’t delved into what it means. Perhaps users here might share what they hear in and out of using Roon. It would help to make a decision on buying it
  6. Yes I hear that Roon is well laid out. I don’t mind the cost but now there seems to be comment that it reduces sound quality? Not sure if I’d notice or not so it may be worth looking at it. More importantly, ‘The Ecstacy of Gold’ by Ennio is soaring over me as I write... Quite nice for sound via Qobuz but I’d like more imaging. Still listening and testing
  7. Yeah I don’t like the Qobuz App amd of course, iPeng is what it is. Quite basic c.f. Spotify which has far greater access to playlists etc.
  8. I don’t think Qobuz user interface is as well done as Spotify’s. Yes the music file is higher quality and I can tell but I think I’ll go back to Spotify once they have HD on board. And yes, I’m sure anybody’s user interface is better than Innuos’ at present. I think computer folk, if I can use that expression, don’t appreciate the lack of understanding of ordinary people out there. Meaning me . In this day, one should press on and off you go. Apple understand this better than windows based I find
  9. Hi, thanks. Do I need to register my ownership of the zenith then?
  10. Ok so.... Vangelis Blade Runner “main Titles”...iPeng running Qobuz. im in the dark and the sound has the sort of range and treble I was hoping to hear. I still haven’t got a soundstage where it feels enveloping but that nay be speaker position or something else. I’ll keep as is and listen to different music for a while just to get a better handle on what I’m hearing.
  11. Hi, no I’d also read that somewhere and made sure of it. There was one difference, I had joined Qobuz via Facebook as an Authenticator but putting the same credentials in Qobuz website said wrong ID?! So I cancelled my Qobuz account and reset it on new credentials. That may also have been a factor but I can’t prove it. I’m frazzled
  12. Hi all, ive managed to get Qobuz added to work via iPeng. It isn’t intuitive to me and I’m really not able to repeat whatever I’ve done! I just managed to somehow add it. It’s somewhere between going to my squeeze box, Qobuz website, my innuos and the 9000 access point. Im just hoping for a simpler set up. What an f-in ball-ache this has made listening to music. When people speak of gear like innuous it should lose marks on lack of user friendliness in my view.
  13. Hi, thanks. I’ve been through those stages and whilst the iPeng plays Spotify it doesn’t see my Qobuz account even though I’ve linked it. I’m sure I’m missing something about this but I’m not savvy enough to see it
  14. Hi guys, I’m sorry to ask but how the hell do I use Qobuz on my innuous? I am lost! ive bought Qobuz and it’s on iPhone app On my.innuous.com I’ve set up the music service. It says completed. it then says use iPeng so I’ve reloaded that but on the myapps section I go into Qobuz and it asks me to put my user name and password on the server settings advanced???? where is that page ? I’ve no idea where to go. please can any users advise?
