  1. Do you all remember when this song was a hit? It was released in 1975 but it was banned from certain radios, so it didn't make it to the charts until 76 lol? I was 17 in 76
  2. Anyone who were teenagers or in their 20s back in 1977 when this song was out, you are from this generation of clubbers.
  3. You must be my age group or older (born in 59) and I pretty much have the same preference, Once Upon A Time is also my favourite record of hers, in fact one of my all time favourite records ever, that album in my opinion honest was Donna Summer at her peak, the versatility with her vocals and the innovation from that record with tracks like Now I Need You, Working The Midnight Shift, Queen For A Day etc, I actually thought she wasn't human at all lol! I agree that Donna Summer was much more than Disco but her decline after 79 was pretty damn harsh unfortunately, the VH1 Live and More Encore was incredible, gained VH1 their highest views for a television special and hasn't been broken since!
  4. I'm new to this website so... Hi! I want to get an idea on what you guys and gals listen to, so list your 10 favourite albums of all time. I'll start my list first. 1. Sly and The Family Stone - Stand! 2. Marvin Gaye - What's Going On 3. Aretha Franklin - I've Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You 4. Donna Summer - Once Upon A Time 5. Stevie Wonder - Innervisions 6. Al Green - Let's Stay Together 7. Curtis Mayfield - Superfly 8. Elton John - Honky Château 9. Queen - A Night At The Opera 10. Prince - 1999 Honourable mentions Joni Mitchell - Blue
  5. This is pretty cool, a bunch of baby boomers (such as myself) are posting Disco related video's. Us baby boomers on this thread were lucky to have experienced this amazing woman during her peak from 1975-1979, GenX'ers and millennials. Ask your parents who this legend was.
  6. I'll never understand why people are still having high hopes on Sade will release another album. Sade haven't been relevent since the 1980s. From Diamond Life through Stronger Than Pride, you couldn't escape from their music and they were everywhere on TV, after the 80s? Gone.
