  18. The Constrictor is a very fine cable imo Alex. Well constructed & engineered plus obviously better than the Russ Andrew cable I was using. The Super Constrictor is twice as good, albeit at twice the price. TCI come with a 30 days refund policy. GofA
  19. Stravinsky: The Rake's Progress - soloists/LSO/Monteverdi/JE Gardiner Disagree with Tones about cables, but in this he's right...can John Eliot do no wrong? Excellent record. GofA
  20. Solid, Even when you're wrong, you're right. You're a star
  21. WA Mozart:Piano Concertos19 & 20 - ECO/Perahia WA Mozart:Piano Concertos 20 & 27 - ECO/Curzon/Britten Piano Concerto no20 is one of my desert island discs & imho the Curzon/Britten version is better than even the wonderful Perahia. It's the work of a pianist who has lived the piece all his days. Beautiful playing, totally inhabiting Mozart's soundworld. Well recorded too. As for the Brandenburg debate, I can add nothing more to what Tones & Boxer has said. Still prefer the Il Giardino Armonico version to all others though :green: GofA
  22. Plus she'sabout to beaccused of cocaine abuse
  23. Solid, I have 3 versions of the Bran Concs (the Italians, Harnoncourt & Marriner), & the Il Giardino Armonico is head & shoulders above the others. I don't want to gush all over the 'Wam but by golly they are very good - well recorded too. Buy! Buy! Btw the male members of the band all look like pretty pizza boys; some have goatees;)
