  1. What exactly is included as the Amazon listing says 1 disc, but also refers to it as a box set?
  2. This stuff works https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181107697339 they supply it with bearing upgrade and subplatter kits too.
  3. May be worth a look https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?currency=GBP&master_id=47234&ev=mb
  4. Apart from Nirvana nothing later than 1975! You will find some soul mates here What about Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson?
  5. I have a similar gizmo, looks the same but badged as air music, streams brilliantly from iPad into dacmagic 100, sounds wonderful.
  6. Yes, but not off my phone using tapatalk, now remedied.
  7. It's harmless, got to keep my cactii somewhere Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  8. I emailed a query re updated drivers for the DacMagic 100 a couple of weeks go and was replied to within a few hours. Very satisfied with the service. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
  9. Check the connector into the back of the turntable is fully inserted as it can be a bit of a fiddly fit and mine needed a bit of gentle persuasion to fully connect
  10. That's right, it sounds too simple, but it works a treat. Also need an optical lead as not supplied, I used a £1.99 Fisual which is ideal. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  11. No problems with drop outs, Android tablets do have to be rooted to use it, but that's easy enough and a streaming app needs to be used, I use airmusic which was about 4 quid and easy enough to set up. I have also tried a Bluetooth receiver but that did drop out and the quality is nowhere near as good as wifi. This little gadget could be the next wam fad. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk
  12. I've got one of the airmusic devices, they are excellent and I stream Spotify and various other apps from an Android tablet. The receiver is connected optically to my old mini disc deck which is being used as a dac, sounds great. It will also stream from ipad/phone, you can use your phone as a remote if you have Spotify premium. Not familiar with the Quad, but sounds similar to what I'm doing.
  13. I much prefer the Ikea unit to the Stands Unique Soundtower that I had as it's more pleasant to the eye (WAF) and it's easier to clean, glass is a pain as it's a dust magnet. The Ikea is plenty wide enough for my preamp (Audiolab 8000Q), but may not have enough height for some amps Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
