  1. Can I just have the delivery please!
  2. Started off as an EMC 1 and was upgraded to the 1 UP version by the one previous owner. The player was purchased from Heatherdale Audio. In very good condition, with no marks or scratches. Comes with the puck and remote. I do not have the original box, so collection is essential. Please P.M. for any info/queries. For sale at £1200. Pics to be uploaded shortly.
  3. Is it possible to purchase chopping boards with ceiling screws?

    Nice JBL 1400's

Do they sound like if you were facing a couple of angry Hippopotamuses?
  5. The answer lies in the bowels of insanity...
  6. Hi, I am from Coulsdon and looking to hitch a lift on the 2nd. Contribution to petrol cost of ocurse. If there is someone with some space please do let me know. Thanks, Delmer
  7. Couple of things: Check out the location photo in google maps (post code in contact details within the bay ad) - interesting, so if meeting in person, could be useful to take a brigade with you! Postage price is quoted as £22.46 Standard delivery - for a speaker with a weight of around 80Kg.
  8. Hi, Is anyone going from the somewhere near Croydon with some space for one? I am in Coulsdon but can hook up from somewhere not too far. Please let me know. Thanks, Delmer
  9. I had an experience where when the bloody TV was moved in between the speakers for viewing in “glorious stereo”, it produced a very audible suckout of sound in the central audio image when listening to music (TV off). The loss in enjoyment was almost bordering on distressing! I could not work it out but put it down to perhaps my own LV’s being extraordinarily sensitive the presence of other objects in its environment. The TV was summarily despatched to its former position into a corner of the living room.........and the sound was back to normal.
  10. Currently running a Canary 601 Mk 2 valve pre into a Red Wine Audio Signature 30 power amp. Sounds very good indeed. Black silence, great detail/texture, space around instruments and performers, and warm as well. The RWA Sig 30 has also got some great web reviews. Certainly a recommended T- amp.
  11. Hi, is anyone travelling from London or the South passing close to London with a spare seat? I am from around the Croydon area and can travel a reasonable distance to hook up. Thanks, Delmer
  12. I thought the First Audio/BP PSU sounded very good with the LV's, very natural, good separation and lots of expanse and can recommend it. Having experienced the flavour of the sound (with a canary pre-amp), made me think very seriously of investigating the Pure Sound 2A3 which I believe is the more up-to-date incarnation of the technology and should also have a quieter presentation than the AI1st Audio, and I will try it at some point. If you were to stick with AI, I would also tend to recommend the 2nd Audio for more of that particular sound, but I can empathise with desire to reduce the box count! I would have been happy with the 1st Audio though.
  13. Second thoughts?.......perhaps a rechristening of "Opusalloveragain21"?
  14. Or maybe his ears need a mod! Has he done any mods to anything other than amps?
  15. No smut please gents! Sounds like we will all have differing preferences with our various associated systems/rooms and unique auditory cortices. No doubt the LV's are very sensitive to everything associated with it so keep experimenting to taste............and enjoy this great speaker.
  16. Yup, I think it's a damn good bet that it would work. It's just that I am thinking AW180's if possible. But apparently EC have a 'sound' in common throughout the range.
  17. How about a couple of Electrocompaniet Monoblock amps. They sound smooth and powerful and also have the sleek and sexy looks!! Haven't heard them with Harbeths, but I imagine they should grip and pump them up plenty.
  18. Thank you very much for your offer of help. Unfortunately even the earliest train from my nearest station would not get me to Dartford for 8 a.m. Perhaps I should have booked in for Saturday night at Scalford. Reading through the thread, it should be a good laugh on the night

  20. Thanks for the offer Adam, much appreciated, but I was planning to just go up on the Sunday. Also I am not too sure about having to rely on begging for some floor space to kip on. I can imagine not being able to able find such an arrangement and having to seek out a bench or a hedge for the night......AAAH........!!
  21. Hi Dom, Thanks for the bump. Hope someone is out there close to our neck of the woods for me to hitch a ride! If I don't get the chance to see you at Scalford, I will be very pleased to attend your next bake-off in Caterham. Please keep me posted as to the date. Best wishes, Delmer
