Recently I (re)bought a nice ‘Stereo Coffee’ Pre-amp . And had it sent to me by UPS.(My foolish choice!) Tracked, it was then mis-located, but then –according to the tracking!! ….delivered (HAH!) at 7.59 a.m. Saturday. It wasn’t delivered. Chasing down which local (Emersons Green) UPS depot dealt with it, I discovered that, in actuality, it had been ‘sent to Amazon’! ?? Why? A sidebar; I actually live near 2 giant Amazon depots, so visited them –in vain, of course. Trying to lodge a complaint, as recipient, proved nigh impossible as well; despite actually talking to the relevant depot, I still needed to initiate a complaint via their head office/actually, I suspect, Indian call centre (after ½ hour+ wait) service. So; I wait until Amazon discover the –to them –rogue parcel and, hopefully return it to UPS (or chuck it in the ‘who cares’ box in the corner?) I see now why folk on here use private Couriers. In fact, that’s a reason why the Seller wanted me to arrange collection. Avoid UPS! .....You get told, ‘Oh, that’s been delivered”, then, after you harass them, Told…..”it IS possible that a parcel is registered as ‘delivered’ as it leaves here and gets somewhere else”!!
