Lenco GL75 in large plinth with folded Perspex lid. Another beauty ! Top plate stripped and professionally powder coated in gloss black. Has my own main bearing mod fitted with 1mm POM thrust plate and SiNi ball. Motor serviced, coils recentred, relubricated, new mains wiring. IEC socket on rear panel. Speeds adjusted and are all spot on. Rubber mat has been cleaned, platter has been polished with Autosol. Beautifully balanced platter ! Spins for over five minutes after switch off. New V blocks (my own 3D printed ones), cleaned arm bearings, rewired outputs with phono sockets & earth tag on rear panel. Anonymous cart/stylus, tip looks OK but could use an upgrade. Plinth has been stripped back to bare wood, cleaned, sanded and finished with Linseed Oil, has a lovely satin finish to it. A few very minor marks commensurate with age, but nothing serious, photos always highlight the tiniest of flaws ! Folded Perspex lid hads been polished and is in very good condition. Quite happy with this one, the first of my latest batch of powder coated tops. Located NN3 Northampton. Looking for just £265 collect Northampton, really not keen on shipping, but will do if really needed, extra at cost. Will be very well packed. See my ebay feedback g8ina2.
SOLD STP Leak plinthed Goldring Lenco GL75. Fully serviced and refurbished. Motor has been serviced, relubed & coils recentred. Arm has new V blocks and new pillar bearings. New mains wiring, new phono sockets on rear panel. Plinth & lid wood has been lightly sanded and linseed oiled. Lid perspex shows signs of age but no cracks or major scratches. Chunky third party hinges. New baseboard and felt feet. Spring suspension is excellent. Includes a Cambridge Audio Atlantic interconnect cable and earth lead. Cartridge is a Grado F3 fitted with a new-ish condition Black stylus. How does it sound ?? Bloody maaaaaaaaarvellous. Motor and bearing run almost completely silently. Come and have a listen Located NN3 Northampton. I've put a LOT of work into this one. £245 plus post and it's yours .
Bought as a project, however the fact that it was a pretty good, clean example made me hold back. I eventually bought another fully modded GL78 so this one is now surplus to requirements. Comes with original arm, complete with ortofon OM-78 cartridge. Has been plugged in and powered up. Platter turns smoothly and speed selector works. Haven’t tested for sound / tracking as I don’t have a 78 disc to hand. This is one of the few GL75s I’ve seen with a symmetrical plinth (as opposed to having the holes and space to the right for the lid support). Looking for £100, cash on collection or paypal gift. Collection only - I don’t have the materials available to package as I’d like and as you know these decks are pretty hefty. Located near to Hull, East Yorkshire.
