Klassik did something tonight that ole' Klassik had not done in a while.  Klassik went to the Brilliant Classics website and checked out their latest releases.  Brilliant Classics publishes a lot of recordings of obscure composers/works so there are usually interesting finds in their releases.  One recent release which stood out to ole' Klassik is a CD of virtuoso violin music by two turn of the 20th century violinists who are certainly more known as performers than composers, Leopold Auer of Hungary and Otakar Ševčík of Bohemia.

Klassik will let Wikipedia explain the backgrounds of these composers.  ;)

Here's the Brilliant Classics page for the album which has some background information on the works: https://www.brilliantclassics.com/articles/other/ševčík-7-bohemian-dances-op10-auer-hungarian-rhapsody-reverie/

The Rhapsodie hongroise, Op. 5 is probably the most known of the Auer works on the CD.
