Since you ask it here on the Wam, the answer is no.

Plus what the others have said.

Plus that a sofa inproves your room acoustics.

And if you already had a sofa, you just replaced a piece of acoustical treatment.

I bought new fitted carpets for my lounge and the rest of the house once, thinking I was just buying carpets. But the sonic upgrade of the living room carpet was easily worth the money in audio terms, and so it seemed to me that I got a new 'carpet' as in something to walk on and coloured a nice blue as a sort of bonus. I don't think sofas are the best thing sonically, and I prefer something with a springy plywood frame like an IKEA Poang, or better still a Balans Gravity for listening.

I use audiofile gripper rods to keep my wig on. :^

Tried normal ones but they messed up the soundstage.

If you checked the height of your ears seated in the previous sofa and made adjustments to your speakers to compensate for the height in the new sofa( if it was different) then no...
