Are any Wammers running a Cocktail Audio/ Nova Fidelity streamer?

If so, please post your user /sound quality impressions. In particular, does the volume control work on the digital outputs?

The April number of Hi Fi World carried a very favourable report on the X-40. On paper, a X-40 or X 30 can replace several of my components, so I am tempted.

No, the volume control does not work on the digital output. Sound quality wise that's probably a good thing ;-)

Which Cocktail Audio model do you have?

Shame the volume control doesn't work on the digital outputs. Would have made it so much easier to add on a DSP box to do xovers and DRC.

BTW, properly implemented digital volume controls work just fine.
