It's in the local charity shop for 900 quid but guy said 700ish doable....

I had leben cs300xs before with falcon LS3/5a but it was no good on my tannoys. May put in second lounge with art audio ls3 derivates.... Anyone had experience with this amp

Might try get for demo.... Trial

Hi Richard, Hope you're well. I owned one of these for a while a very long time ago, so please factor that in in my response, plus no idea of value at the price you mention.

Caveat over, looked and felt gorgeous in terms of fit n finish. Lovely thing. Sound reminded me a bit of a Leak 20, certainly recall being very happy with the sonics indeed.

It certainly isn't something to be avoided, the very opposite if the price is right and the output serves your needs.

It has some good reviews  .. I’d give it a go at £700 .. Does it have a remote?

£700 is about right rather than an out and out bargain imo.

Heard one many times at Nicks (myrman) when he had Zingali speakers and it sounded excellent, and looked pretty sweet too.

Maybe you can try it out in your system? £700 looks a good deal.

This is a beautiful amp with the right speakers. I bought one a few years ago from Tom (Montesquieu) and heard it with his RFC Canterburys. He demoed it to me using an expensive EAR preamp but I thought it sounded sublime. We compared it with a few different amps, including a Radford, and whilst the ST25 had more grip and dynamics, the M520 was to me more sweet and refined. At home for me, though, it never really had enough grip. This was with Eatons (10" HPDs are more demanding) and also Harbeths I think.

It is also extremely adjustable - various negative feedback settings etc, and very well made. If you can get it for £700 then a great buy.
