I can upgrade my current Akurate + 530 system to a 2016 Klimax Exakt source for a very good price. It seems that I cannot directly connect my LP 12 to it (as with Akurate Exakt hub). Is the solution necessarily to use Urika 1 or 2? Thank you.
Yes you can use an urika, or an external Phono stage and connect to the analogue input.
Both the Urika 1 and 2 need a Radikal to operateI can upgrade my current Akurate + 530 system to a 2016 Klimax Exakt source for a very good price. It seems that I cannot directly connect my LP 12 to it (as with Akurate Exakt hub). Is the solution necessarily to use Urika 1 or 2? Thank you.
Assuming you dont have a Radikal Power Supply, you would need to obtain a suitable separate phono stage to convert the signal from the cartridge to 'line level'.
This could then be plugged in to the Analogue input of the Klimax DSM.
Can you tell us the spec of your LP12? This would enable us to recomend a suitable phono stage comensurate with your expectations?

If you're not willing to splash out on a Radikal (which is recommended!) in order to use a Urika, I would strongly recommend the Lejonklou Entity MC phono stage.
But since a few of us are upgrading our Radikals now, maybe you could find a used Akurate Radikal & Urika 1? Going from the internal phono stage of the ADSM to Urika 1 is a BIG step forward

That gives you a few choices then, all of which will be a big upgrade from your existing set up.
Urika, Uphorik, P75 etc.
I was listening to an Akurate LP12 with Radikal last week, it was playing via the Linn Uphorik, this is an awesome combination.

I paid only € 1.100,- for my second-hand Urika 1, which is unbelievable VFM. I even doubt you'll find an Uphorik at that price and they aren't as good as a Urika.
You have what is known in Japan as the Akurate LP12 SE. This is what the Akurate LP12 should be, in my opinion. Well played! Thanks for your feedback. I am equipped with an LP 12 Akurate level (Akito, Krystal, Kore, Trampoline) with a Radikal engine.
I'll probably choose a Urika. I am looking for a second hand, preferably Urika II for my full Exakt system (530)
Urika II would be the option I’d go for, but it will be hard to find a second hand Urika II as I can’t imagine any current owners would want to part with theirs.
