Taken some time, their kept very busy, results as followsI have built these up over about 10 years, kept meaning to get them fixed, all bought second hand, my first faulty one is s meridian 500 transport, Lazer gone I think, but must be 20 years old, then a Cambridge , can not remember the model 840, I think, has USB ports so you can plug into dac, bought as it was cheap, and wanted to try streaming, not for me, drawer opening fault, rega Saturn, Lazer I think, then meridian 508/24 , disc not spinning,

Meridian 500 transport is working ok at present
Cambridge 840c, repaired, £45
Rega Saturn getting new Lazer, picking it up from cranage at the show, £90, for a new lazer
He has a great reputation for quality of work but is in huge demand so you might need to be patient…I have found a dealer called Wilkinson's in Nelson, 25 miles away that repair cd players, had a chat yesterday, so I am taking the four faulty cd players I have tomorrow, will report back on how it goes

Do you know what the CD mechs and/or lasers are on each? I’ve replaced both on Arcam players and I’m hardly handy… no soldering involved, just a screwdriver. Very satisfying to do.
