Paul, I have a matched pair of Sylvania Baldwin 6SN7GTBs - these are the 'chrome dome' organ spec ones from 1967, matched date codes with green print and Baldwin branding. £40 plus post for a pair. Please drop me a PM if interested.

Does anyone have a good Telefunken ecf80 they'd like to shift? I bought one 'nos' a while ago but the seller ('Mullard Magic') only had one and I need a pair for my kel84.

Tbh I'm actually quite settled with the Mullards I'm using but I guess as I have one Tele' it would be nice to get another and do some sort of a comparison.

Plenty of Brimar and Mazda, some Tungsram, EI, and 6H1P Octyabr Russian equivalents but not a Tele in there I'm afraid. Maybe Feebay if nobody here can help?

Thanks, and yeah I have looked on eBay but some sellers are asking quite a lot for them. I'm pretty sure Watford were selling them for £12 each a few months back but now they only have the gold pin versions for £35 each. It's only idle curiosity really so I'll just hang on and see if one pops up somewhere

The gold pin E80CF are low noise instrumentation selections. All of that series, EC80 through 86, are impressive valves in a manufacturing sense, but the difference of the selected variants if used in audio is certainly questionable outside of line level applications.

You are right, patience is the friend of a tube hunter, what you want will turn up presently.

when going through my cupboard I've found few 6201 tubes which are of no use to me as I bought another 2 nice pairs recently , all have Hamburg Df6 codes but bit of mixture of Philips SQ, standard Philips and Valvo branded ,gold pins, all have exactly the same internal build . I might find another Valvo if someone is obsessed with same print . £20/each plus postage around £3 I guess , be quick as these would sell as NOS on the Bay
Tested at 250V plate voltage , -2V grid and 12.6V DC heater - long life version of Ecc81/12AT7

Philips 6201 SQ with print
emission: 95% 85%

Hi all.
This is for the geeks/techs (if at all). I have come to the sad conclusion, with 'modest' assistance from SWMBO, that I do not need one quarter of a tonne of valves, also that she needs another spare room
I know, I do want them, but truth is I won't use them. So I am offering a huge range for free. Non-audio valves only are up for grabs, don't go thinking my PM4 and old stock 300b collection are up for grabs! I will try to get a list up but have eff all time. If you repair stuff and need something PM me, I may have it and if so it's yours! Triode/heptodes, double diodes, radar stuff, variable mu pentodes. Maybe have to collect, maybe Wam taxi/audio jumble/BVWS. If you are starting into toob circuits and would like rather a lot of toys do ask.
This will take time, these things are valuable to people who need them, not to yer average bod.
