Overall I preferred the J's. The bass was tighter with the others but I found them a little harsh up top. Did anyone else find this or is my hearing just shot?
So did I. I didn't think the bass was particularly tight, but at least there was some.

I think the Io Ltd had gone upstairs by that point. It would've been interesting to compare using that.
:^ I think I could live with either of the speakers if one of those was in the system :love: . Damn and blast that I don't own one! :D

They both sounded great, but if you put my arm up my back, I'd say I marginally preferred the Ks, probably because they were more suited to the smaller room. The bottom end had better control.
The K's were definitely tighter at the bottom end.

I presume that's because they are a sealed box rather a ported one?

Sealed bass is often tighter/leaner at the expense of some sensitivity. That cabinet probably has 25% less volume too.
