OK, it's NOT Nirvana, the band.
It's the name of the chair. As you can see in the picture, it hangs by a chain from a beam.
Hifi visitors will recall the experience!
They are still made (£1795).
DSC01998.JPG IMG_1422.JPG Mine is an original from late 60s/70s, but it has a new leather lining I had made recently
as the old one had dried out. It's big; 165 x 375 x 70cms; 23 kgs.
It can easily carry up to 18 stone apparently.
I've used it as my listening chair for hifi listening, often faling asleep in it!
An Icon from the 60s, but in near new condition-the leather makes it comfortable ( the new ones just suggest a sheepskin which won't be!)
Offers around £995 please, but you'd need to collect from Bristol - it's big.
Chris

Yes; as sat in by Jerry, (Jandl) Tom (Montesquieu), Richard (Idle by design) and many others!
My current chair is an Olive wood chair made -and bought - in THe Alpuharras.

Could you please post a picture of it with someone, ideally around 6ft tall, sitting in it.
And.... Is it still in situe, as I'd want to sit in it before committing to anything.
I need to add that I'm only asking and am away as of tomorrow for 2 weeks so hope you aren't in a big rush, but if anyone else comes along please go with them.
Thanks!

OK Have a 6'2'' neighbour I can 'use'! Message me your e-mail.
Yes it's still hanging in place.
No rush.I can't imagine there are hordes of folk wanting quirky chairs!
(We're a select bunch!)
I'm close to junction 18 (Avonmouth sign) M5.
Wow, yes, I sat in it.
You should probably charge more because of that.
Very cumfy. (y)

If that's too OTT, I also have this.
Bought from Biba store at the end of 1973, just before the store finally closed. I carried it back to Newcastle, taking it on the Tube, then train, then got a bus, much to the amusement of passersby!
£995?

What? Does no one live in a Barn (conversion)? Or want to laze away a few hours swept up in music-assuming you have either streaming or shuffleplay- it's not easy to get in+out of!
