This is probably my favorite piece of music ever.
Well there you have it the same cliched crap thats been spouted since the punk days. Which I was affected by until I pulled my head out of my arse and actually made up my own mind.No I don't (like prog)Pretentious load of old bollocks most of it.
Record companies just allowed young (admittedly technically talented) musicians, who had far too vivid imaginations and far too many drugs, total leeway to express their pomposity.
Egos were satisfied by ridiculously long solos, where the musicians virtuosity took them absolutely nowhere except up their own arses.
The music was bought by an audience who also took far too many drugs and themselves far too seriously. (I was one of them)
Thank God for Punk which ultimately bought down the whole house (or rather magicians castle) of cards and burst the over inflated egos along with it.
I still have quite a few records from the genre but only a very few ever get an airing these days
Or would that be Krautrock....
