I think Pass Labs make some great kit but not as well known over here. I recently bought an XP-17 phono stage which is great. Would love to get some of their power amps if/when I move away from my ATC actives.

Hi,

I have a First Watt F5 - used during the summer when the valve amps cause a lot of unnecessary sweating...it's the closest to SET sound that I've heard from a transistor amp.

I recently heard a very expensive custom-made pair of monoblocks + power supply SIT amps based on the Pass SIT designs into a pair of Living Voice speakers. It was a wonderful sound. Pity it was only 8watts.

My Aleph 60s are going back into my system tonight.

wow , amazing that steve found the sit 3 sounded good with maggies !!! and not with high sensitivity zu speakers 

bet those aleph sound great 

he also compares the sit 3 to the xa25 power amp which is a reasonable size amp compared to the other monsters from their stable

I was in a very fortunate position recently to try an xa30.8 against my much loved xa25, and as good as the xa25 is, the xa30.8 was obviously better in all areas, but then again at 2k more, it should be.

The upshot is, my xa25 will shortly be up for sale...

Pass Labs XA30.8 and Tannoy Ardens....match made in heaven. Still the XA25 ain't no slouch either.

I've also been very fortunate to mate up a Pass Labs XP12 preamp to my xa30.8, and it's a damn fine preamp, and together they make beautiful music!!
