I just picked up a nice LPT (because I ... you know ... 'needed' it :D ) but it hasn't got a lid. I know the originals have a reputation for falling apart so I doubt I'll be able to find a 2nd hand one, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to have one fabbed up? I did contact the funk firm but they want the best part of £150 for one.....

Anyway, any help would be appreciated!

I strongly advise you to find a better cheaper way to cover your PT.

Or please yourself.

Yeah, I use an old cardboard fruit box and have screwed the hinges to that (?)

I think the price I'd heard before (£55) is good value considering the price of acrylic and getting it cut and glued. A Linn lid will set you back more than that secondhand, more than double new..

OK, you can also buy from them acrylic lid glue so if yours is simply falling apart at the seams, then try gluing it back together first perhaps. I bought some of that glue, didn't do anything with it for 6 months and it had set solid - so only buy when you're definately going to fix it.
