bump - I'm being dicked around by a wide variety of HFW readers when it comes to these - still for sale.

bump - honestly, they sound mighty fine for the money!

Had them set up this morning to briefly demo the Victor cdp for MiB, and they sound excellent, plunging, fast bass (in Stiletto terms) and utterly transparent, noice!

Demo is always possible in my living room - which has a lovely sunny aspect, and view of the expansive garden

Yes, I heard these briefly before prising the Victor CDP from the grasp of a weeping Biscuit...

The Michis really do sound superb in combination with those dinky stilettos. Much more noise than a speaker that size has any right to make.

not for me to say James, but I'm sure your curiosity will be satisfied at some point in the future

they are an exceptional sounding combination, which I suspect would have sold much sooner if I'd managed to entice people to come and listen

Me!

I dragged half my system over to Biscuit Towers this morning, ostensibly to see if the Prima Luna valve amp would gel with the Cyrus pre and Dynaudios.

It didn't, so we tried out a few other combinations. The Rotels worked superbly well with the Dyn's and were easily better than the Cyrus set-up in a back-to-back test. I just had to check that they would fit in my rack...

Nice one Biscuit..£1k was a great deal.

I had the Rotel pre/power some time ago, it was designed by Jeff Rowland.

Quite a rare beast and maybe one of the best Rotel has ever produced, it certainly laid the path for the very good value amps they currently sell.

Although i'm not sure about the passive pre...recommend something like the Music First.

yep, the pre was/is the weak link - but it was still an awful lot better than a Cyrus Pre.

Didn't realise it was designed by JR - nice one
