It's not just down to bhp/tonne...

Frinstance, an F1 car is always quicker than a superbike in all situations (apart from in traffic!) simply because it has the magic 1bhp/kg or thereabouts, but it also has 2 whacking great tyres to put the power down...

It also doesn't wheelie, and has 4 humungous brakes to slow it, plus it has the stability of 4 wheels. So if you look at any of the race tracks of the world an F1 car will have the lap record...

If you want to put a bike engine in a car, you need a Caterham fireblade:

I tried to get in one of these up at Caterham (they had a S/H one for sale) but just couldn't fit. Gotta save for a Caterham SV (bigger Caterham made for US market) instead.

Art,

The car pictured directly above is an Ariel Atom. Caterham just happened to have one in the showroom last time I was up there. It's not actually a Caterham at all. Sorry for mis leading post.

But Yep you are right, there is a lot more to life than HiFi.

I had a play with Caterham Super Seven for a day a few years back :cool:its was great fun for a day but I don’t think I would keep my licence for very long if I had one for much longer.

With a Caterham you certainly learn the meaning of over steer if you exercise your right foot.
