Thorens 321 turn table and SME 309 tone arm is this a good match sonically?

309 s.m.e. is a good match,if set proprly, however the SME instruction book can be very confusing as to set the arm, puzzle! the arm is superve so is the thorens, by the way what cartridge are you using? :dude:

Hi, I am currently using a Audio Technica OT 10 thinking about an Ortofon Kontrapunk B, not sure if it will match. I certainly agree with about the SME manual.

dynavector always made great cartridges, first one i had in the 70's was the famous ultimo 10 d, very good in those days, last one was the d.17.5, but try and see...

frankly, i must say i have used and still have the audio tech prestige"35th anniversary AT33PTG, awesome. maybe someone has heard one , very rare..

well, initially it is going on my 70's direct drive Pioneer PL-L1000, which has a parallel tracking arm. Will be used with an Audio Technica universal headshell.
