Indeed, I read that in mojo yesterday hence the post.

I like most of them (not heard of Jeff Lynne so cant comment on him) so it cant be too bad, think I'll give em a try.

Jeff Lynne was the force - singer, guitarist, composer behind Electric Light Orchestra - talented guy. I certainly am going to give the re-release a go.

I managed to get both on LP,the firstincludes Roy Orbison in the line up,volume 3 was after his death, for some reason I recall they decided not make a volume 2 due to this sad loss, although I could be wrong, anyone know ??

Both good IMO,enjoy.

They were about to start work on 2 when he died - so decided to jump straight to 3 I think out of respect for him.

Not sure about Vol 3 but the first album in good nick on CD is worth about £25.00.

No idea of vinyl values.

Anything produced by Jeff Lynne is worth a listen,

Records produced by him are recognisable on that quality alone.

On Vol 1 the singles and best known were' Handle with Care' and 'End of the Line' IIRC.

Standout track for me though is Dylan's 'Tweeter and the Monkey Man' story telling in a song from the 'Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts' stable

Musically they are nice enough but vol 1 is better. May give em spin later:cool:

Vol 1 is the better of the 2 nothing challenging, just good 'fun' music

I spent quite some time obtaining 3 on LP,set myself a budget of £10,eventually after losing out on quite a few,I won one and it was unplayed.

own both albums, cos I love roy orbison, tom petty, george H and dylan....sound is just sort of beatles lite crossed with petty with plenty of ryhme and rythm...well worth a listen and not a nats between the two IMO.

I liked/like TW and have still my vinyl and downloads.

Probably they weren't very good, but I don't mind as I like Dylan, & Orbison on the 1st album.

I can see nothing new on forthcoming doings to get me to buy at-last CD compilation etc.

The vinyl-sleeve artwork is lovely.
