I am hoping some kind Wammer has a stash of the Russian K75-10 capacitors (2.2uF) and can either sell me a pair or loan me a pair to try in the output of my DDDAC. I have heard they are a good choice compared to other very expensive caps which are out of my current price range.

Thanks for the reply. I since found out that the correct size for my amp is not 2.2uf which was the default but 1uF. I have a pair of 1 uF here to try but if they are not much improvement may be interested in trying the K73 type later.

This talks about caps in general and page 33 about K75 and K73. The findings are as James says - users prefer the K-73 and refer to the K75 as "dark".

In theory the best you would get is 10 of FT-2 in parallel! Teflon is the leader in coupling caps for me and many others. But good luck finding them, and they would need a special case because of the size. Otherwise, why not try some DC Link caps? They are well above average. Cheap to try and available.

That is indeed another possibility and cheap. I guess I will try a few more out before settling on the best sound for me.
