Wonder IF you've switched on ,sat back and forgot to take the covers off yet?!I received these excellent covers this morning from a company called LuxeTek. They were custom made to fit my ProAc DB3. They are made from a tough material used for luggage and they have a very soft lining material. The tags are real leather and they and the covers can be made in a variety of colours and patterns.
Paul at LuxeTek could not have been more helpful throughout the order process and kept me informed of the progress all along. The lead time is about two weeks. They are on eBay but ordering directly saves a tenner.
May I say, I absolutely love that !Obviously a lot of time and effort went into my setup.
Thank you kindly! It is however all change as the dear old 44 has decided to randomly choose it's own input during playback so it's booked for a spa day in Huntingdon.
The other OAP has stepped once again into the breach. Unfortunately it isn't without it's problems, an occasional channel drop and noisy volume pot plague it but it'll have to do until I can get a short term fill-in.
They reckon on a wait of around 6 weeks at the Quad servicing dept. currently.

In the meantime you could sort the scratchy volume pot and possibly the channel drop on the OAP with a touch of switch cleaner.
I did deploy the can of "Kontakt", it did appear to improve the situation a bit. Still get the scratchy sound though so probably needs another go.
Didn't want to be to liberal with the dousing the first time round, maybe I was too stingy...
Don't you think it looks far more purposeful than the modern Pro-jects and Regas?

Decided to build a little second system for the bedroom. Pair of self built Kef CS1a, great old NAD 302 integrated amp (bought off a fellow Wammer) and a small bluetooth streamer. Works really well for the space and room.

It really was just too tempting to resist… so thanks to Tom1980 I’ve added an Accuphase DP65V CD player to my current system… it’s been purgatory though, it was hand delivered by Tom last Friday but due to self inflicted injury, I’ve only got around to listing to her today!
It was also a bit of a forced change, my superb Audio Analogue Maestro CDP developed an irritating drive issue and sourcing a replacement Philips driver was proving more than difficult… however, as is always the way, a day after receiving the Accuphase, it appears that I’ve finally managed to source an identical drive for the Maestro… so should that work at least I can offset some of the recent spending…
