Tried it? Is it as good as it seems to be?

It wont run properly on my old Mac, but then again not a lot does. I got a Flash error message warning that something would run slowly and then after a 'welcome to the machine' title came up above a 'wish you were here' album thumbnail pic, it started playing some dirge that I couldn't stop, I had to force-quit explorer to get out of it. Shame because it looks good.

Actually it wasn't Floyd but sounded like some soft rock crap by Tod Rungren or Utopia. If that's the response from my selection I'll forget it.

What does the program do exactly?

I only played with it a little last night, and it seems you can give feedback on the tracks that come up, and it will tailor it more to your tastes. You can also make different station for different kinds of music.

the more you use it, and tell it which tracks you like, and which you don't, the better the it tunes itself to your strange taste. You can create as many stations as you like for different music styles.

I have, sadly to report
cry_smile.gif.e6f167d6925baafe229b8957ba771316.gif
, that I have not yet found the sarah kennedy insertion switch.

I think it's fab... I'm discoverying so much new music that I wouldn't otherwise know... I think the trick is not to tailor each station too much. Give it a few thumbs up and one or 2 thumbs down and just let it ramble along. You can have upto 100 stations anyways, so you can have 100 different specific ones for different tastes'moods.

I've just put it Beth Orton and it's come up with loads of excellent singer/songwriters... I think the way they analyse the music is spot on as well, though once you put in a song in a minor key, all your following songs will tend to be in the minor key.

So great to discover new music as they do cover quite eclectic tastes (Anyone heard of Keren Ann? A french Beth Orton). But for casual listening, might be up to everyones cup of tea...
