Nagraboy

Anyone local who can help set up my new cart?

Recommended Posts

Just got my Nagaoka MP-500 today but I've never set up a cartridge before :nerves:

Would any of the Wam's turntable experts fancy popping round to help me out today? :upgrade:

I'm in Coalville NW Leics.

Hi Greg, possibly but my Dr. Feickert is with Rick. Have you got a protractor provided with the deck or printed out?

Thanks Mark. There is an LP-shaped card thing that fits over the spindle with lines and points to help set up a different cartridge. Not sure if that's the same thing as you mean? I'll post a pic, hang on...

Appreciated Rob. You'll have to hear the AT at some point though! :^

This is what came in the box. Not sure it's what's required?

That would certainly do it Greg, just need good eyes now:^

Is that all that's needed? What about possible arm height adjustment, VTA etc? I can see that another AT cart of identical dimensions would be ok with this guide but what about the Nagaoko or another cart?

Yes and make sure it's not Brian (take5) pretending to be Mark;-).

Just in case Brian looks like this.
