parcelmonkey 2,328 Posted March 18, 2018 What a morning… 8:00 I made a snowman. 8:10 A feminist passed by and asked me why I didn’t made a snow woman. 8:15 I made a snow woman. 8:17 The nanny of the neighbours complained about the voluptuous chest on the snow woman. 8:20 The gay couple living across the street complained that it could have been two snowmen instead. 8:25 The neighbours on the left, who are vegans, complained that the orange nose whilst being a carrot, needed to be something else because food is for eating and not to decorate a snowman and woman with. 8:28 I am being called a racist because the snow couple is white. 8:31 The husband of Fatima wants the snow woman to wear a headscarf and starts kicking off! 8:40 The Police arrive to see what’s going on. 8.42 I am told that the broomstick of the snowman needs to be removed because this could be used as a striking weapon. 8:50 The Salafi Jihadist militant group of Islamic State made itself known as the snowman. 8:52 My phone is being seized and thoroughly checked while I am blindfolded and flown to the Police station in a helicopter. 9:00 I am asked if I have any accomplices. Done with this! I will never make a snowman, snow woman or snow whatever again. It’s too dangerous! And unfortunately, this is the real reason why I can't make Kegworth... Hope all that did have a great time! 3
Vincent52 175 Posted March 18, 2018 Like many others made a 7:00am decision to abort this morning. I was up for it but sons who were coming with me were both doubtful. Pah, younger generation no bottle! Or just maybe more sense than septagenarian Dad.
batteredhaggis 430 Super Wammer Posted March 18, 2018 Not much snow on the Sussex coast, but reading about the weather further north I feel for everyone that's made the effort to set up or go to Kegworth. Hoping that the event is a success for those that could attend and the organisers. Big shout out for Jack NSM and Lurch from here, sorry I couldn't come this time fellas. I felt bad when I woke at 5.30am and checked weather reports. I wasn't too worried about the snow & ice as I was making the journey from Dover and live about 2 minutes from the A20 & knew I would be travelling 99.9% on motorways. However, what I worried about was the huge amount of people who just can't drive properly on Motorways; either far too slowly which holds you up, or far too close behind you which is even more dangerous. Needing at least 3 - 4 hours each way, I just couldn't face the prospect of retards in cars... I'm gutted though! And as I need to be up early again to travel miles to my designated destination for work, I need the car again and it just wasn't sensible. First & only time you'll see me admit to me being sensible. You heard it here first! Edited March 18, 2018 by parcelmonkey Tidiness...

PhilofCas 109 Posted March 18, 2018 Just seeing what’s happened today, hope it hasn’t spoiled it for many, but wonder what people’s thoughts are moving to a month devoid of this potential?

Still it's fast enough to beat many, keep up with most people on the roads up to 70mph (hurrumph, cough, cough, officer) and not look too bad in the car park...

(month devoid of inconvenient weather - hmm, maybe move Wam show to South Africa, we have at least one punter there).
mickbald 231 Posted March 18, 2018 At 08:00 I decided the snow was just too bad. Posted I wasn't going. At 10:00 I thought bugger it, I'll give it a try. Getting out of the Ironbridge Gorge was a nightmare but got through. Arrived at 12:15 - crap journey. Should have been there by 11:45. Worth it though as it was good to meet up with a number of people again. Trip home no problem at all.
