your favourite films of all time

Recommended Posts

Funnily enough watched 2/3 of Heat the directors cut last night. They rarely make films like this anymore. A classic. Worth checking out if anyone hasn't seen it.

My list of films would be far to long to add here.
Unlike my favourite albums, I have the habit of not watching my favourite films too often, it helps to keep them fresh.

@tuga & @TheFlash good to see fellow fans of In the Mood for Love, it’s sequel (of sorts) 2046 is also worth a watch.

I don’t think Gosford Park has had a mention yet, I’ve run out of fingers (and possibly toes) to count how many times I’ve watched this.

@Headcoat every film fan was waiting for De Niro and Pacino to work together again, it didn’t disappoint. Every heist movie these days tries to pay homage to Heat.

Known in the UK as the 'Dance of the Vampires', it was was renamed 'Fearless Vampire Killers' by some oaf in the US & its charm was nearly lost..
A Hammer Horror they probably wished they'd made.

Image result for fearless vampire killers

Brilliant film. "Boy have you got the wrong vampire..."

I really tried to like ‘Citizen Kane’, failed,  then watched Woody Allen’s Casablanca spoof ‘Play it Again Sam’ for the umpteenth time at weekend.  The scene where he is deciding whether to play Oscar Peterson or Bartok LP to impress  the girl has me in stitches every time.

Exemplary vinyl care....

oh, and Jungle Book, for young times’ sake.

I do use this thread as a ‘what to watch’ and +My List builder. Keep it up.

Up! is a delightful film. Just love the way they build up the "squirrel" joke - gets me every time.
