Curry anyone?

The Spice Tailor range of curry kits are worth a go (there are other similar makes getting into that space too - Pataks for example). They contain some dry spices that you cook with the meat, plus a spice paste that goes in after the dry spices have had a minute or so, and a sauce mix that you add after the meat/spices/paste has been cooked out. They produce a very edible result for minimal effort.

I've cooked a few 'restaurant style curries' on this site and they are really nice.

The spice mix is really nice but I also augment it with a bit of tandoori masala.  Even if I can't be bothered with the fully boona, so to speak, the mix is still nice in a home style curry.

Had an excellent curry this evening - two of Maddhur Jeffrey's recipes; Kerala-style fish curry (salmon) and Red lentils with ginger. Delicious.

Just cooked a great Jalfrezi,  from the Curry Guy recipe book.

A sambal with dried anchovies (called Sambal Ikan Bilis). Has shrimp paste in it. We usually have this with rice for breakfast. 😬

You can get some nice curry recipes at Rasa Malaysia. It’s very authentic.

Last night made a Chicken curry. It's the first one we've had in months -- the aroma and taste was mouth watering. Made with chicken thighs (my favourite chicken cut). The for the last 15 minutes I transferred the chicken over to the BBQ, while retaining the sauce in the pan. Gorgeous.

We love Curry. Hardly ever go out or buy takeaway so buy Charley Bingham curries occasionally. Absolutely brilliant!
