Well the new season is nearly upon us, what are your thoughts, for your teams, this season?

I am off  to the Emirates Cup tomorrow, so will be able to look over a couple of new players, but we still desperately need some defenders, yes we have bought Saliba, but he is going back to St Etienne on loan next season  . Until Arsenal address this, they are going to struggle to get back in the top 4, let alone challenge for the title.

Here's to a great season and some wonderful football, COYG :oj:

Liverpool have looked pretty ropey in pre season and not seen anything so far which is going to make me believe that we will not go backwards this season . We are really dependant on our front three Salah , Firmino and Mane they scored 62% of our goals last season .

All of them have been still playing through the summer and for most it is the second year they have done this with very little rest . We needed to sign a first team striker but the club do not view it that way .

We may be able to start well (fingers crossed) but I suspect that we will have a major dip in form come October / November . New seat this year and my first away from the Kop hope this is not jinxed as it should give me a more consistent view than last season .

Well a good day at the Emirates, even if we did lose. We certainly have some talented youngsters, but I fear they will not be given much game time. I would like to see a couple of them given a chance so as they get the experience.

I also managed to get into the Arsenal supporters club, a small house near the old stadium, which has been running since 1949. It was a breath of fresh air, after the commercialism of the Emirates stadium, a wonderful venue , but boy do you pay for it. The supporters club was like going back in time, to when the game was for the working class man, cheap beer great camaraderie, and humour, the walls are covered in memorabilia and photos, and we were offered membership, which I took up.

If only :(

Arsenal have 3 grades for games, depending on the opposition, this one is a grade A.

It cannot really improve on last season for me, where I witnessed the most incredible success and football in my 45 years of watching my team. I do expect to be successful again this season, but to match last year would be nigh on impossible. Most of all, I am looking forward to seeing the continued development of Phil Foden, and the potential slow introduction of Taylor Harwood Bellis, Eric Garcia, Tommy Doyle and others
