Mains purification/regeneration - worth considering?

I tend to listen to my system during the afternoon. Sometime it sounds sublime, other days it does not seem quite as good.

It may be me that is different but I am wondering if fluctuations in the mains supply is causing these differences. So I am wondering what forum members think about mains purification or regeneration. I have no experience of either.

Worth considering or a waste of time and money?

I welcome comments positive or negative.

Super Dealer

More likely to be your mood than mains.

I don't subscribe to this mains theory. I am more convinced it could be related to temperature, humidity and the e field (if that is what it is called) I would love a field mill to try to get some objective correlation, but a bit pricey. In the meantime you could experiment with an ioniser, dehumidifier and old 14 inch CRT TV.

Regeneration often brings more problems than it cures.

Look what it did to Dr Who.

Hmmm.... I hope that rustling noise is a coat being fetched.

I've not had one positive comment yet so it seems that I have fellow Wammers to thank for saving me a few bob.

There could be something in mains related products.

I had a purifier round here once and it might have made a slight difference but I wasnt moved to purchase same.

I'd want to try something like an Isotek Titan if I could. I once bought some speakers from a guy in Bristol and he had one. He went and bought the new upgraded version. Why would he do that?

a) Because what he had didn’t do enough of what he wanted? b) he didn’t realise it wasn’t any use? c) he was an upgrader
