Considering how long it took you to build, these are ridiculously impressive.

Scratch that, they are impressive full stop. Would love to hear them, in the spirit of the times a video would be cool...

Couldn’t sit on my hands very long...... thanks to a kind donation from @Tristan I have re-covered the grills in a proper speaker cloth and magnetised them! 😃

I’ve also ordered some badges from murica to finish the grills.

^^^Looking fantastic, really great work. As a Klipsch Cornwall III owner I'm a big fan of their heritage line and would love a pair of La Scalas or Klipsch horn. I'm glad you went with these badges, Klipsch have re badged the whole line and I'm not a fan of the new styling. Once this cornavirus is all over if you ever do a bake off I would love to have a listen to these.

Nope! It is now exactly 4 months I’ve been waiting for them to arrive. I have been assured that they will be in the UK by the end of this month and with me shortly afterwards.

I hope they are worth the wait.

I missed this build and as others have said it is a superb build due to your great woodworking skills. They look the part.

I heard the La Scalas AL5s at Henley Audio and they sounded superb. They played music with real dynamics not the pumped stuff from honking ports. If you play a guitar in a room the dynamics are powerful and not how many speakers sound. It is not just sheer loudness but the speed of response, which from the Klipsch is very lifelike. Recorded live music can be very realistic and captivating. But I suspect you know that already.

I will be interested in your thoughts on the finished product.

I wish this CV will finish as I am hoping to get up the Henley to hear the new Cornwall IV and the new Heresies.

Another month gone ...... another dissapointing email from Henley Audio! 😳

It seems there has been ANOTHER stock issue and the horns are not going to arrive in the country until the end of June!!

IF that happens I will have waited 6 months!!! for these horns. 😡

BIG NEWS!!!!

Midrange horns expected tomorrow!!!!!! 😳

7 months I’ve been waiting for these, I’m going to take a few days off next week to install the horns, install replacement tweeter diaphragms and make some alterations to the crossovers.

Watch this space for updates, pics the finished article.

(If you can get past Mr Mogadon's tone) this might be useful.

Plus ...Solder the connections.

Great-waiting will be worth it I hope.

Ok, so 7 months after ordering them the horns arrived today!!! 😃😃😃

I had no intention of rushing the fitting of them but just had to get them in today for initial impressions!

All I can say so far is that it was worth the wait. I think because the horns interact with the tweeter and bass horn at specific 400hz crossover point they seem to have cleared up the mid-range and in turn this seem to make the bass a lot sharper.
