Thoughts? Good or bad move for Linn.

Good, it will get the interior decorators interested, they seem to have more money than sense...

Typical Linn half baked (the coloured arm boards may follow) .. if you want to have colour then think about the total presentation and offer arm boards of the same colour (or others for those who like to mix and match) for the armboard.  A good idea not taken through to completion.

I’m boring, because I still like the early fluted Afromosia plinth best!  Here is my old one before I sold it.

Is no one going to address the elephant in the room ? Which colour sounds best and why ? I am sure there will be a Linn Engineer along in a minute to tell us and which malt whisky goes with each colour .

I had a fluted base in black, with ekos tonearm. I may have stuck with it if someone didn't drop the ekos in front of me whilst serving the deck. I thought to myself "to much hassle"

Sounded nice though, well on some records anyway.

Those colours are wrong on many levels, given my sensibilities...

I think it’s a sign of the times. Modern room design, let’s hope they don’t go the same way with speakers too 😁

Being such an expensive deck, may limit the resale factor but some people change their decor so often, it could become a winner for linn selling new plinths lol

I bought an LP12, in black (non-fluted plinth and not piano black) new from Guildford HiFi, in 1978, for £272! :D

I think we have all done that at some point lol.

Got mine in 1981 from the now defunct Radford Hifi in Windsor for £350 sold it when I had my kids, big mistake lol
