Made a chicken korma last night, Pataks korma paste, lots of ginger and garlic, and the leg meat from the roast chicken we had the night before. Delicious!

Sounds lovely. We had the same (leftover roast chicken) but with Tikka Marsala paste.

How's island life? Presumably it's more laid back...

It is very quiet - like a permanent Sunday only quieter. Very strange. But we've had a couple of days of good weather so had time outside in the sun, which is good for the spirits, and the weather looks good for this weekend too. Spring flowers starting to emerge and everything starting to green up.

We are at our cottage in a small hamlet in rural France, most of our French Neighbours self isolate most of year so no change there. Loads of gardening to do so no problem keeping busy.

Just cooked salmon fillets wrapped in Parma ham with sweet peppers stuffed with chorizo, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes and brown rice, washed down with local Bordeaux red!!

My Series 102 Cake is undergoing Heat Treatment, I've got a Rationalised Beef Stew in the Slow Cooker, so it's been a busy time in the Kitchen the last couple of days! 👌😋

It’s sitting on smashed peas. Doesn’t have gravy because I don’t know how to make good gravy. 😂🤣

When you do learn Bisto doesn't enter the equation!

Bit of fruit with pork chops, we had gently cooked Granny Smiths this week. Still have a few portions of John Downie crab apple puree left for special occasions.

I need to do it properly. With caramalised apple or a home made apple sauce. Maybe some dried apricots thrown into the mix too.

we made a "raid the fridge" stew last night - sausages, smoked bacon, tomatoes, new pots, peppers, onions, garlic added a tin of butter beans, - smoked paprika. used up some kale that was on its way.

Found a bottle of beer with a drink date of Feb 2020 (was great)

Next, I shall build a Series 100. This unit is built with ground almonds rather than flour which is rather scarce at the moment... 😎
