Clive G RIP

Hi all,

Very sad news that one of our own Clive G passed away a couple of days ago. Those who know him will know he had been battling cancer for some time & this time last year he was looking very good & responding to treatment, but sadly it returned with a dreadful inevitable conclusion.

We became friends through a trade of equipment and probably had a bond because I am a cancer survivor myself & understood what he was going through, but he was always outwardly cheerful, a very generous host, his system was impeccable, his knowledge vast and he helped me enormously in my hi fi journey.

RIP Clive, you will be sadly missed.

Brook.

May I echo Brook's sentiments..

I accompanied Brook on a couple of visits to Clive's house in the new Forest. He was a friendly, knowledgable and stoical character and great music and hifi enthusiast (firmly in the Idler turntable/Valve/Tannoy brigade).

(My Miyajima Shilabe cartridge came from Clive.)

Many sympathies to his widow, the rest of the family and his friends.

Aw shit.  I knew Clive as well from hifi sales and he was always very friendly to both me and my wife.  Been swapping messages ever since and considering the life hes led, he was still very interested in what we're both upto.  Damn damn shame.

Whilst I never met Clive, his contributions to the forum were much appreciated. My thoughts go out to his family at this difficult time. R.I.P. Clive.
