I've been using these brushes with my Okki Nokki...

Old/Second Hand Records: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J27J5IA
New Records - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealer-Applicator-Paint-Application-Pad/142039008075

And for a Brucie bonus, I use this on all cleaned records before playing and its one of my all time best vinyl investments...

Stiff paintbrush, the ones with white nylon bristles.

Not so sure about nylon bristles .. but if it works for you .. animal hair tends to be much softer at the tips (hence why nearly all artists paint brushes are made from animal hair ..

Well they probably aren't nylon, just a description. Most of the brushes meant for the job don't look particularly soft and besides the one I use is not hard, I would expect a goat hair brush is likely stiffer. Point is there is no need to spend silly money

a diamond sits in the grooves - the brush will spread out all over in and on top of - and as we know it does not take something very hard to scratch across .. I am sure it is fine but I wouldn't take the risk .. but it might be totally fine :D

It will be fine, my VPI brush is nylon, and I have cleaned in excess of 3000 records with it, and not damaged one......…………….yet! :D
