........losing my hair many years from now ...

Well those many years have arrived today , I've not lost my hair in fact I'm sporting a classic Beatle moptop albeit white . When I read those lyrics on the back of Sgt Pepper (probably in '69 or '70 when I bought it ) and listened many times not once did I considered the fact that I would one day be 64 but tempus fugit and here I am . Valentines - no , birthday greetings bottle of wine - most definitely , out till quarter to three - ha! bed by 9:30 , mend a fuse - better no mention fuses , doing the garden digging the weeds - check , rent a cottage in the Isle Of Wight - might be I'm not flying any where soon , grandchild on your knee - nope our 20 somethings are very cosy at home .

66 is the next meaningful one when at least I'll get some monetary compensation :D

Happy birthday old pal. It appears you are precisely twelve days older than I am, so I am looking forward to playing when I'm sixty-four on the day. Probably followed by some Ian Dury and the Blockheads flat out to remind everyone within hearing range that I'm not finished yet.

Happy Birthday - and have some Lewis Carroll on me.

"You are old, Father William," the young man said,
"And your hair has become very white;
And yet you incessantly stand on your head-
Do you think, at your age, it is right?"

"In my youth," Father William replied to his son,
"I feared it might injure the brain;
But, now that I'm perfectly sure I have none,
Why, I do it again and again."

"You are old," said the youth, " as I mentioned before,
And have grown most uncommonly fat;
Yet you turned a back somersault in at the door-
Pray, what is the reason of that?"

"In my youth," said the sage, as he shook his grey locks,
"I kept all my limbs very supple
By the use of this ointment-one shilling the box-
Allow me to sell you a couple?"

"You are old," said the youth, " and your jaws are too weak
For anything tougher than suet;
Yet you finished the goose, with the bones and the back-
Pray, how did you manage to do it?"

"In my youth," said his father, "I took to the law,
And argued each case with my wife;
And the muscular strength, which it gave to my jaw,
Has lasted the rest of my life."

"You are old," said the youth, "one would hardly suppose
That your eye was steady as ever;
Yet, you balanced an eel on the end of your nose-
What made you so awfully clever?"

"I have answered three questions, and that is enough,"
Said his father. "Don't give yourself airs!
Do you think I can listen all day to such stuff?
Be off, or I'll kick you downstairs!"

Happy Birthday!

It's also my sister's birthday today actually, although she'd probably like me to point out that she's a way off 64 :).

If you were being truly gentlemanly, you'd point out in which direction :D

Happy Birthday Bazzer, I turned 64 last month and like you still have hair on my head, in fact it's the longest it's been for years. Bummer having to wait till you're 66 for your pension, we just missed out. :(  Having a great day.
