wuzznbuddy 9 Posted June 24, 2020 Looking for a quality pair of balanced/XLR interconnects. A 0.5m pair would be enough but 1m would be ok. To connect a streamer to an integrated amp. Something like Chord Epic would be good, but I’m open to suggestions...
Mand 12 Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) I’ll look in the cable box tonight when back from work and check what I’ve got. I defo got a few unused from Audioquest. I bet you’ll be sorted by tonight though.. edit - just noticed a free pair of xlr on this forum, try those first.. Edited June 24, 2020 by Mand
MartinC 2,836 Posted June 24, 2020 As you asked for suggestions, I'd personally go with one of the van Damme or Mogami (pro audio cables) from designercables, either bought direct or via eBay or Amazon (the latter two can be cheaper once postage is factored in). I and several others here have very happily bought from them in the past. This is what I'd buy: https://www.designacable.com/catalog/product/view/id/3932/s/van-damme-star-quad-balanced-male-xlr-to-female-xlr/ Starquad is technically best for noise rejection. You may not benefit in practice but it's not expensive so I'd go with this in case it does end up being useful.
Getgaff 42 Posted June 24, 2020 I have a 1m pair of Mogami 2549 with Neutrik Gold XLR connectors available £30 inc. postage
Tom1980 17 Posted June 24, 2020 What do you think of your Mogami 2549s? Are they on similar level to budget van den huls, soundwise? I'm after new XLRs as well and was considering those.
Getgaff 42 Posted June 24, 2020 I’ve not tried the Van Damme XLRs unfortunately.
