Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I HAVE TO APPOLOGISE THE DECK IS A GL78 AS A FEW CHAPS POINTED OUT, its my age 9_9 and to be honest ive never heard of a GL78 just the 75.

I think I've found someone on this forum that may be able to help me so thanks everyone for your responses.

Can anyone help ,I have been given the above turntable the deck is in really lovely condition but it has a problem the arm wont return to rest,I wondered if anyone out there knows a source I can get it serviced and repaired in the South end of the country, I'm based in Sussex so anywhere within 50 to 60 miles, I'm 74 so cant travel to far.
Thanks in anticipation

Do you mean you expect it to return automatically, which it was not designed to do, it’s manual.

If you mean it physically won’t move that’s totally different?

Yep, Im here and Gary is correct. If it is a GL75 it is a fully manual deck, no auto functions at all. the GL78 was a semi auto deck with auto switch off and lift.

Im in Northampton and I specialise in service and refurb of these amazing decks. Happy to help if you need it looking at.
