whats a good streamer that Roon supported

Why not add the Sonore UPNP bridge software to whatever you are using as your Roon server and "Roonify" whatever you want to use? I did this with a Naim NDS and it worked a treat. It basically just makes the streamer look like a squeezebox to Roon. Alternatively, look at a Micro Rendu to make whatever DAC you want to use into a Roon ready streamer.

Edit to add -  it looks like you need something running the Sonicorbiter operating system to install the bridge software.

Seen some of them for around £1500. Another great model if a bit plain in the looks and ergonomics dept.

I also listened to one some time back and couldn’t justify the cost difference over the Cambridge CXN hence taking the small jump in price to the 851 and hearing benefits to fully justify the price walk.

Pretty sure there was one on here some time back.

I assume we are talking about the one that retails for £1995?

I had the model in my ‘saved’ searches on the bay when I was looking.

So I believe... my loan was limited prior to lockdown but was able to compare with the CXN which was (at the time) used with and without a Luxman DAC and Luxman 507 amp and Harbeth C7’s
