Dave Brubeck Quartet on vinyl - which version?!

Recommended Posts

Evening all.

I quite fancy a copy of Time Out but having browsed there seems to be an unbelievable number of versions! The Analogue Productions 45rpm offering seems highly rated but is really expensive, I'm not keen on spending £70+ on one record. There are plenty of other new pressings at normal pricing but are they any good?

Grateful for any advice, not averse to comments on being tight :D.

Cheers!

I hate jazz but fecking love that album, unfortunately I'm 100% digital so can't help but suggest you check out Steve Hoffman, they'll pull apart all the different versions in lotsa detail for you

The 2010 Music On Vinyl repress sounds very good and you can still pick up a new/mint copy for around £20 - £25

Speedracer has the 45 rpm 'Time Out' (I presume there's only one). Its jolly good. Close second is the double album, original press, called 'Time Further Out'. (Similar cover)

Thats got all the music from the single album and more..

I've got Time Out Analogue Productions 45rpm LP sitting waiting to be opened at Christmas. Can't wait.
