FS 4 x 6n3cE Valves

Recommended Posts

These are a set of 4 valves 6n3cE that are equivelant to 5881 or 6550 or 6L6GL I think they would work in any EL34 amp also.

I'm told they are really good in the AI500 amplifiers.

I had a plan to have an AI500 which fell through so these are now surplus

£45 + £5 postage

If these are ideal for an AI 500 then maybe they'd be of use too @Monitor Gold Ten

He likes valve rolling Audrey. 😊

Good evening all!

We're about 25 hours in and I can give some entirety subjective findings:

I think the old 2009 Sovtek 5881 Valves needed to be replaced!

Improvements have been observed in Channel Separation; detail; warmth and I'm playing a recording I've known to be relentlessly bright on my system; Artur Pizaro The Complete Piano Works Maurice Ravel Vol. 2.

This sounds far easier on the ears now!

My first bit of "Tube Rolling" with Power Valves and a massive success! Thanks again Lurch and Spider! 👍 👍 👍 😎 😎 😎

A friend of mine speaks Russian and he read the notes that accompany the Valves.

Might be of use to anyone else with these Valves.

Service Life of 5000 hours. Minimum (ambient) Operating Temperature is -60°C; Max is +160°C

They contain Gold, so lots of people are breaking them to extract this...

I'll post more as I remember it. I did not write any notes... 👍 👍 👍 😎 😎 😎
