Totally agree - i like the nucleus case but I went the standard intel nuc way and bought a akasa turing fanless case to house it in.

Asd some ram - a tiny nvme drive (no more than 128gb needed) for the roon rock os and then I put in a sata ssd to put my local music on. Or you could have a external drive or music on a nas.

Worked out about 500 quid all in for a i5 / 16gb ram, 128gb nvme and 500 gig ssd drive - plus the case.

I installed on a NUC with a usb hard drive connected with all my music files, has been my main digital source for 2 years and can recommend. All pretty easy to do and plenty of step by step instructions. The Definitive Guide To Roon Optimized Core Kit (ROCK) - CA Academy - Audiophile Style

Why are all hifi cases so big, and mainly full of empty space? Looks impressive I guess
