I could offer a cheaper personalised service for $20k and just as effective ....send me the dosh instead and I’ll make sure the device won’t have any negative effect on your system

...and it has a bypass button - so you can spend $25k then isolate it from your system

Yup, absoluto correcto. Except DSP is digital and the sliders are virtual and the settings are worked out by someone else's algorithm. So that's OK, then. And it probably doesn't cost

In fact, I'm feeling a whole loom coming on: http://www.nbscables.com/products/pricing_nbs_3.html

Oh my word, I've always wanted a six band Schiit Loki. How on earth do they justify that price tag?

Check out the cables... similar pricing strategy, even less justification. Possibly

Of course most won’t hear its full potential because they’ll scrimp on interconnects and power cable. $22,500 on those and you’ll really hear what $47,500 can do musically.

As many of you know, I don’t get all agitated about “marketing-led” hifi jewellery; fair play, free world and all that. But I do expect a little more effort in convincing me that some unique thinking and/or the misplaced use of science (you know, quantum tunnelling, kryptonite, that sort of thing) has been involved... and justifies the price tag. If this appears anywhere, it is well-hidden.

Without the $80,000 power amp and $30,000 pre, you'll never get the full benefit.

At 110k, you might have thought they'd have made the finishes match, but then I suppose they're 'universal'...
