My Son is going to lend me the netgear unit below for when I move in. I will probably still add an outside Ariel but at least I’ll be able to try before I buy. Also, it’s taking weeks atm to get broadband installed.

If fibre is available then there's no point going for 4G, unless it's temporary.

It is buddy, having the 4G for free for a bit will tie me over but it will be interesting to see as if someone is watching a movie on Netflix and I stream, the bandwidth is quite reduced apparently.

Oh I see. It should do the job but your step son might complain about the size of his ping.

Having gone onto 4G here recently we have no problems streaming a movie at the same time that youngsters are also streaming and I am streaming music. I did spend £100 on a good external aerial though.

Looking forward to giving it a go. What Ariels do you and @Tony_J use?

I’ve made a note of it now. Hopefully cable length won’t be too bad.

Silly question but where do you connect the router to the outside Ariel?
just ordered this because I’ll use it for at least a few months if not, for a while longer. I had an extra 20% off voucher

Either unscrew those two aerials and screw on the two aerial connectors or you will find two aerial sockets at the back.

Yeah no other aerial sockets so I assumed that it was that but nothing in the manual as i thought they were for WiFi
