Had a delve into the box of old photos and came up trumps.

Note the extensive use of concrete and even early experimentations with acoustic panels....

and the hanging Gyro installation, I’d forgotten it even had a suspended sub shelf for the power supply!

I sadly have no photos of any of my old setups as I lost my entire photo and tape collection in a house move age 30!

Pretty sure they were a version of the Agathon by Horning.  I had a quick Google search to confirm and the only picture I could find that looks close to them is from the Tonbridge Autojumble in 2012 - Jason Kennedy giving the report and also naming them Agathons. He goes on to say that the along with the Lowther drivers there were also 'internal drivers' controlled by the utterly baffling peg connector system on the back.  I assume he must be right, so that has come as a bit of a shock considering I owned them for about 8 years and didn't even realise that might be the case!

This is my very first music maker. Still have it and just about to pack it for my move. Alba Radiogram 3100. It still works and plays wonderfully with the ceramic cartridge 😂

My first record player was a repurposed television, that was hollowed out and with a turntable installed, this was fashioned by a kindly neighbour that was an electrician , how I wish I had a photo of it ....
